The 'Material In Review' feature ensures stock in the warehouse is managed accurately and effectively.

There are three key reasons stock might be flagged for review:

  1. Reactive: If items are found damaged or missing during the picking process, these items are marked for review. This ensures potential issues are recognised and dealt with promptly without delaying picking.
  2. Proactive: Mistakes identified during the booking-in stage, requests from customers, or instances of label duplication can also cause stock to be marked for review. This preventive measure helps us catch issues early and address them.
  3. Stock Check: When a routine stock check discovers differences between actual and expected stock, these items are marked for review. The 'Material In Review' feature then creates tasks based on the nature of the discrepancy.

In short, the 'Material In Review' feature helps us maintain the quality and accuracy of the stock stored in the warehouse.

You can view and resolve the items that have been marked for review from a desktop device, via the home screen. But, to flag items for review you need to do this via the scanner. More on this in Flag items for Review.

How to resolve Material in Review items

If items are flagged for review, resolving Material in Review items must be completed on the same day. This step is taken after you have taken the step to resolve what has gone wrong. For example, you found an item that was lost or the stock was not found and needs to be written off. 

  1. Select Material in Review from the home screen
  2. Select an item from the list


  3. View the reason it's been flagged for review and select Confirm/Reject

  4. Enter the quantity of the total items flagged for review that you wish to add a resolution for
  5. Select the resolution from the drop-down list

    The options from the drop-down list will differ depending on the reason the item has been flagged for review

  6. Select Submit
  7. A confirmation message appears to confirm that the item is resolved
  8. Select the ByBox logo to return to the home screen
