What does 'Pre-advice' mean?

A “Pre-advice” is an advanced warning that stock is on its way to you in your warehouse or forward stock location (FSL) that you will need to receive and put away when it arrives

There are 2 types of Pre-advice:

  • items coming to you to replenish items already picked and
  • items coming to you as a result of a customer placing an order with one of their suppliers


How to book in a delivery

When a delivery arrives, You need to book it in as soon as you can so that stock is available to customers that wish to place an order.

Here we're dealing with a delivery that you're expecting, you come in and you receive the delivery in the system.

You must log in from a desktop device for this task


  1. Select Outstanding Preadvices from the home screen


  2. Select the item to book in


  3. Select the SKU you wish to book in then select Receive Delivery

  4. Add the courier reference to Additional Details and the Serial Number/Quantity:

    • Don't forget to add details in the courier reference box
    • For tracked items you will enter a serial number, for non-tracked bulk items, you will enter the quantity




  5. Select Submit
