This page details the Bluetooth devices supported by Thinventory™ Mobile for use with ByBox App Lockers, based on the extensive and continuous testing performed by ByBox. This page is a living document and will be updated regularly. Typically, updates will be a result of: new devices being released by manufacturers; ByBox increasing testing coverage to previously untested devices; and ByBox releasing software updates that lead to performance improvements on existing devices.

Devices fall into one of three support categories:

Recommended operating system and devices

The recommended Operating System and devices are in line with manufacturer guidelines and tested by ByBox on a continuous basis 1 including Bluetooth performance with Konnect™ App Lockers.

Compatible devices with known issues

Devices in the list below have been explicitly tested in the ByBox Test Lab, and their performance is unacceptable1. ByBox endeavours to remedy issues with all compatible devices, but the list below includes devices that have known/documented performance issues with their underlying Bluetooth chipset or implementation, which ByBox cannot resolve.

Incompatible devices

Devices that do not meet the Compatible Devices criteria will not support Thinventory™ Mobile for App Locker door opening. These include, but are not limited to, devices that match the below criteria:

  •       Devices without Bluetooth, or with Bluetooth 1.x, 2.x or 3.x
  •       Windows Phones, Windows Mobile, and Windows CE devices
  •       Blackberry devices (including 10.x)


1 Acceptable is currently defined as opening a door in less than 5 seconds, without error, in 95% of tests. This service level will improve as ByBox release performance improvements, and manufacturers release newer Bluetooth devices.
